Dentures & Implants

DENTURES

-PARTIAL-Partial dentures are for people who are missing some but not all of their teeth. Partial dentures come in two types: fixed and removable. Fixed partials depend on the health surrounding the teeth still remaining in the mouth or implants. Removable partials can be taken in and out of the mouth and are attached by clasps. They can be made of plastic, acrylic, or metal. We will work with you on finding the exact fit for you.

-COMPLETE-Complete dentures are for people who are or will be missing all of their teeth. Impressions are taken of the persons teeth and mouth, then we make models of your mouth, send it to the lab and they make and send us your complete denture. We do two types of complete dentures: same day dentures and conventional. Same day dentures are where a person is getting their remaining teeth removed in preparation for their dentures. Going without teeth can be very hard and embarrassing for some people. We offer the option to receive your denture the same day as extractions. These dentures may need adjusted a few times while your mouth is healing to insure a comfortable fit. Conventional dentures are where we extract the remaining teeth, and the person waits a few months to allow the gums and bone to heal before receiving their denture. This method insures a better fit.

-IMPLANT SUPPORTED-Implant supported dentures are when a person has implants placed in their bone to support the denture. The denture will snap onto the implants and provide great support for the denture making it less likely to move around in the mouth. This denture still needs to be taken out nightly and cleaned as with conventional dentures.
